Day trip to Agafay Desert

Your adventure begins with a 2:00 PM pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Travel by private air-conditioned vehicle through the outskirts of the city as the landscape transforms from green palms into the vast, barren beauty of the Agafay Desert. The drive takes approximately 30–40 minutes. On arrival, you are greeted with traditional Moroccan mint tea at the desert camp. After your welcome, gear up with a helmet and safety briefing from your professional quad instructor. Set off on a thrilling quad bike ride across the rocky terrain, weaving through dry riverbeds, cracked earth trails, and open plateaus with the Atlas Mountains as your backdrop. The ride lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hours with stops for photos. No prior experience is needed. As the afternoon heat fades, mount your camel for a peaceful 30–45 minute ride through the desert hills timed perfectly for sunset. Watch the sky turn gold, pink, and orange as the sun dips behind the snow-capped Atlas Mountains.

Return to the luxury desert camp where lanterns, carpets, and cushions are set for your evening. Enjoy a freshly prepared three-course Berber dinner featuring traditional Moroccan salads, a slow-cooked tagine or couscous, and a dessert of seasonal fruits and Moroccan pastries. As you dine, enjoy live Berber drumming and a fire show performance under the open desert sky. After dinner, relax with mint tea and soak in the silence of the desert night before boarding your vehicle for the return drive to Marrakech, arriving back at your accommodation by approximately 10:00–10:30 PM.
